In the Community: OASIS Senior Health & Resource Fair
We were fortunate to be part of another exceptional community event! In Home Care Solutions was a vendor at The OASIS Senior Health and Resources Fair. This was held on October 21, 2017, from 9 am to 12 pm at the OASIS Senior Center in Corona Del Mar.
Here members of the Orange County community could obtain information and find resources for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle as we age. There were over 70 vendors in attendance to answer questions on a variety of topics – health, fitness, in-home care, senior living facilities and more! Attendees also had the opportunity to visit a Flu Shot Clinic, listen to lectures like “Preventing Cognitive Decline” and/or participate in classroom demonstrations such as Zumba Broadway with the CS Dance Factory.
Our Case Manager, Doreen Morasse, represented In Home Care Solutions and was so happy to attend this marvelous event.

OASIS, which stands for Older Adult Social and Information Services, is a large senior center dedicated to meeting the needs of all seniors and their families. Many educational, recreational, cultural and social services are offered, aimed at helping older adults live an enriched, active and independent life.
The OASIS Senior Center is owned and operated by the City of Newport Beach and is staffed by a core of professionals who are responsible for planning classes and activities, working with seniors in developing new and exciting programs, providing support services and counseling, and helping family members who are concerned about their parents.

Dr. Kay got her medical education in Brazil.
Dr. Kay also has a master degree in Film and Television from UCLA and has been an adviser for medical television shows.
Dr. Kay is very active in the Health Industry. She is a member of the American Board of Home Care, the National Association of Home Care, CAHSAH, California Association of Health Services at Home. She co-chairs the education committee for the Down with Falls Coalition. Dr. Kay is in the speaker’s bureau for the coalition helping educate health care professionals and the community on fall risks, diabetes, adverse drug reaction, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, dehydration and nutrition, etc…. for older adults.
Dr. Kay was nominated by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) as the Remarkable Woman of 2008.
Dr. Kay is actively involved in many philanthropy and non-profit organizationssuch as the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen, the Philharmonic Society, Women Helping Women, Youth Employment Services, E-Women, Women Sage, Plasticos Foundation, CIELO and others.
Dr. Kay’s passion is to assist seniors to live long and thrive in the comfort of their own home.
