Year in Review: 2016 Highlights From In Home Care
Another year has come and gone. In our opinion, 2016 has flown on by! In Home Care has stayed busy this year between delivering exceptional care-giving services to our valued clients, staying active and giving back to the community, or creating informational and engaging content for our website and social media pages.
As we turn the page and prepare to say goodbye to 2016, let’s take a look back on all we have accomplished and done this past year.
Our Favorite Articles from Last Year
We only get one go around in life, so why not make the most of our time while we are alive. The lifestyle choices we make will undoubtedly help improve the quality and longevity of our life. Until we discover the fountain of youth, here are some secrets to living a longer, happier and healthier life!
Dehydration in older adults is a common health concern with serious consequences if not cared for properly. This means it is time to hydrate, motivate, and keep the elderly feeling great.
Laughter really is the best remedy. It not only cures your blues, but studies show having a good laugh can not only brighten your day, but improve your overall health.
Some call it the “circle of life”– Once upon a time, our parents took care of us. They raise us (to the best of their ability) to be the most independent, adults we can be. As the years pass, our parents grow old and eventually rely on their children to take care of them. The more “prepared for caring” you are, the less stress you’ll face. We found the AARP’s planning guide particularly useful.
As we reach middle age, and go through the trials, tribulations, successes and rewards of building a career, starting a family and raising our children, we stop and suddenly realize that our own parents have grown older too.
“Contrary to popular belief, there is never an age, skill level or stage of arthritis so bad that you can’t do something constructive for your mobility”
Exercising as little as two times per week can drastically improve one’s pain, fatigue and other arthritis symptoms. We can not stress enough the power of exercise and its ability to reduce your risk of health concerns such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, depression, and osteoporosis.
As a small business we are forgetting resolutions and focusing on attainable goals to continue and grow our business!
Goals for the New Year
Promote and Grow the Health Care Academy
Did you know there is a huge demand for caregivers? After you enroll and complete the Health Care Academy Certified Nursing Assistant program, you are basically guaranteed a job upon graduation. Health Care Academy is relatively new and now fully accredited by the state of California. We truly hope to help grow their business so we have even more phenomenal caregivers available to use at In Home Care.
Deliver Even Better Customer Service
Our business is completely customer service oriented. We hope to grow and continue to better our services by improving our client relations. Our client’s mean the world to us and they deserve the best.
Increase our Referrals
The best compliment you can give is referring us to a friend. We hope our emphasis on better customer service will improve our client’s word of mouth referrals. We want to
Build a bigger social media following
Do you follow us on Facebook, Twitter and/or Linkedin?! Stay connected and up to date on the latest news, events and promotions. A bigger online presence helps us grow our business.
May the dawn of this New Year fill your heart with new hopes, opens up more horizons, and brings more promise and brighter tomorrows.
Happy New Year to our beloved friends, family and clients of In Home Care.
